we ended up with a c-section.. it was because of the big picture kind of thing. I cant get an epidural because of my injured back and the dr was concerned about shoulder dysplasia because her head was in the 3rd percentile and  her abdomen was in the 90th percentile, most likely do to my insulin problems (being pre-diabetic). Then at my last ultrasound her cord was at her neck. Had she come naturally sooner, then it would have been the best scenario, but she was getting larger by each day. The concern was that her small head would come out with the cord and then we had the risk of the shoulder getting stuck. Since I cant have an epi, doing an emergency c-sec under general anesthesia would not be the best thing for an emergent situation. So we opted for the safest way.
